'Dichromatism' 2019
A menswear collection inspired by the lustrous play of colours found within creatures of the natural world. Iridescent based animals are juxtaposed with the modern geometric aspect of design. Illustrative motifs are accentuated by bold colours, providing a new and optimistic approach to menswear.
Inspiration derived from the 'Fashioned From Nature' exhibition at the V&A museum which had a collection of iridescent dresses, jewellery and accessories based on the Jewel Beetle.
Upon many conversations with other people and through thorough research, I discovered that bright colours and eccentric design was missing from most menswear collections in high street shops - instigating the challenge for my Final Major Project.
